Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. is a Fire and Security company. This entails the installation and maintenance of fire extinguishers and fire alarms, as well as the occasional installation of health and safety signage and fire doors on the fire side of the business. On the security side of the business, there is the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems, access control, and intruder entry systems.

The main environmental impacts of Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. are as follows:

  • Fuel consumption;

  • Waste resulting from work carried out (wiring, old/used extinguishers, old Security and Fire Alarm products);

  • Office waste (paper, used food containers).

Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. is committed to combatting these environmentally damaging factors through the following means:

  • The services offered by Saltire Safety Solutions means that the inevitably high fuel consumption is unavoidable, however when purchasing vehicles, low fuel consumption vehicles are always a priority;

  • Any old or used Fire extinguishers that are held on site in the Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. office are disposed of responsibly by our supplier, Thomas Glover Ltd.

  • Old wiring and fire and security units will be disposed of in line with WEEE Regulations 2013, and via our local supplier chain;

  • The Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. office has a general waste and recycling bin, both of which are collected once per month to ensure that waste is dealt with suitably and in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.


Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. will continue to grow and improve its Environmental Policy to remain in line with current and future legislation in respect of their impacts upon the environment, as well as endeavouring to reduce their impact on the planet as much as possible.

This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis, or after a change in legislation to ensure that Saltire Safety Solutions Ltd. remains compliant with the law, the country’s environmental goals, and their own objectives. Any changes to the environmental policy goals will be communicated internally and externally as part of a commitment to increase awareness of how the business intends to progress.
